"Family is important to me and always has been. Even as a young clinician, shortly after I graduated with a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College, Boston, I enjoyed not only working directly with my clients, but working with parents, grandparents, caregivers, siblings and even their pets! Communication is essential for all families. Language is a developmental process we are entitled to as humans with or without disabilities. My passion is collaborating with my clients so they can communicate effectively with their families and people in their community. I work with children using a strengths-based, holistic, family centered approach and understand each child's unique abilities while collaborating with other specialty areas. My experience includes early childhood, school settings, and research. I hold an Early Intervention Credential through the Illinois Department of Human Services. In addition to working directly with clients and their families, I enjoy speaking and was hired by New York City Department of Education to train their student services team to be proficient on telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. I was also honored to be the guest speaker for the 31st annual Oyer Lecture at Michigan State University in March 2021.
When I am not working, I enjoy watching my children’s sporting, theater and musical events, as well as attending theater performances, listening to music, traveling with family, cooking, playing racket sports, reading with my book club and volunteering in the community."
